Hmmm

With out ears and a tail, I can't tell what this is. Oops, another clue. Oh well, good thing I don't have a camera. No one, as of yet, has been able to explain what this thing looks like. With all the rushing and fretting, this piece may not live through the firing process.

Kibble & Bids may have to settle for the boot. Well one of my ceramic boots -that is. Maybe I'll make a dog bone and place it in the boot???

Workig on a Deadline...

This is tough...Kibble and Bids is October 3 which means this little piece has to be finished by tomorrow to have any kind of a chance to get fired. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Discovered a major mistake -I have a sphere and forgot to put a hole in it before I attached it. I managed a very small hole using vinegar; it was so difficult I'm not going to try another one. I'll say a prayer and hope one puncture hole will keep it from exploding.

I'll give you a hint as to the piece -the sphere? It's a tennis ball the kind of toy every little _____ likes to play with. Say a prayer for me. ...kt

New Week

Had a great week last week! Hubby had finished installing my new 240 outlet, the kiln got moved and is occupying its new home. The boat is back in the garage and everything fits! Great job honey! Still no camera so no pictures... However I have a great body of work in process and it's really exciting.

One piece I'm trying to get finished is a piece that's "hopefully" headed for Kibble and Bids. I'll get pictures as soon as I can. If I can manage finishing the piece -it will be so cool. The problem's I'm facing are time and difficulty. It's turning out to be more difficult than I had contemplated.

Well actually, I didn't really contemplate anything other than the finished product. I just jumped in and started building.... Wish me luck. kt

A Blessing for me

My camera died and haven't been able to post anything interesting. However, I've got some great news. I was given an Electric Kiln...WHAT A BLESSING. I've been doing several test fires and the kiln works like a champ! God is so good to me.... As soon as I can I'll get some pictures posted.

I have been testing the kiln's ability to low fire; this next week, I'll be running a test on a high fire. I'm really nervous. I'm going to run the kiln up to cone 6. The Kiln's rated for a temperature of 2400 degrees. I'm trusting it to do the job.

By the way...

This darling little chair sold for the second highest price of the night....
